Halotherapy (also known as speleotherapy) is a form of alternative medicine which makes use of salt. Salt water is said to benefit your skin in many ways. It helps closes open pores, soaks up excess oil, balances oil production, kills acne-causing bacteria, diminishes scars, heals scrapes and cuts, exfoliates dead skin cells, restores skin’s natural pH, improves skin barrier function, enhances hydration, reduces inflammation. When using our wellness salts in a warm bath, soak your body for at least 15 minutes.

Salt water inhalation has many health benefits including aiding in asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory illness symptoms. The best way to breathe in salt is to head to the sea shore and breathe in the salt air. Of course, this is not practical for individuals who live far away from an ocean. These individuals can create a steam  by pouring a few cups of boiling water into a bowl with the salt and stir until combined. Lean your face over the bowl about 6-10 inches away from the bowl. Cover your head with a towel to form a tent. Breathe normally. Once each minute take a deep breath in and let it out. Do this for a total of 5 to 10 minutes.

Gargling salt water is one way to combat a sore throat. Take 1 tsp of mixture and add to 4 oz of boiling water. Let cool down until comfortable temp. Gargle.

All of our ingredients are made from organic produce. Our 4 oz jars are sterlized and cleansed through the act of smudging.
